BSSI supports the Dumisani youth care center, located close to the hometown of one of the co-founders, Dr. Ena Bromley. The youth care center provides 24/7 care for around 12 youngsters whose lives have been affected by the AIDS pandemic and poverty in South Africa.

BSSI also provides support to the Sisanani project which provides care to elderly women who in many instances are taking care of their grandchildren who have been orphaned through AIDS. Ongoing projects focus on providing orphans with skills to succeed in the workforce once they graduate from the orphanage and setting up micro businesses in the local community.
